Super Breakout review.
Classic Game Room uses its “Paddle Controllers of Fury” to review this awesome game and destroy line after line of alien blocks in space. This awesome game, somewhat reminiscent of Pong, is an old-school, vintage, retro, arcade style video game from the ’70s. This is of course the sequel to Breakout (which we also review)
There are few gemes in this genre better than Super Breakout. Perhaps Arkanoid? It’s hard to say. Regardless, you need to go buy this game and play it on your Atari 2600. Maybe they’ll make it for Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA)?
Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. Classic Game Room was the original classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999-2000, now on DVD. The HD series is reviewing PS3, Genesis, NES, Atari and Xbox 360.

I love progressive mode
So, this game came out before the commercial for it in the 1980s?
Retro game parties ftw!
love your videos
Where did u get the music at the end
Love this game!
Funny thing I am thinking about having a super awesome retro video game party! Mark, your reviews give light to my world and happiness to my soul.
It's fixed now 🙂
I've never played this, but it looks like arkanoid on the NES. I just recently bought this, but my Atari stopped working the other day 🙁
At 3:37 you can see Robin Hood.
DEM SOUND EFFECTS O_O
It's the paddles, you need to open them up and clean the gunk out, there are many step by step instructions with pictures on the internet. I myself cleaned out 2 pairs I bought last week.
@mpsteidle11 paddles
Mark from the future sent me here!
Whenever I play my super breakout the cursor is really fidgidy constantly moving back and fourth from the slightest movement, do you think this is the game or the paddles?
This reminds me of an old computer game called Bustout. I can not remember what that computer was called though.
The games always reminded me of the Close Encounters of the Third Kind movie. Watch the scene where the humans are trying to communicate with the aliens at Devils Tower with a tone generating band of colors. Then you'll probably agree.
@RLmike1234
Agreed 🙂
@Atomduck GGGGEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!
I NEED THE NAME OF THE THEME SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gotta love the old Atari sounds:)
It sounds like a song in the game when u are making the ball hit the wall and then make it hit the breakable block things
why can't i see the ball at the end of this vid?
I wish I had classic game parties, but none of my mates like retro gaming =/
breakout spawned so many alternates that just about everyone has at least played one of them. but none of my friends know what im talking about when i say im playin breakout
no sir i dont have classic
videogame partys i try but my friends
they just want to play ps2 and xbox and wii
@cookie123456789012 Some games require you to hit the reset switch. Some you can press the fire button.
@cookie123456789012 yes, yes there is.
"Classic video game parties ?"
ORLY?
press the fire btton
i loved the sound the ball madwe when you hit a lot of bricks at once it was awesome hearing a cacophony(look it up) of sounds
Worked for Arkanoid. 😉
I love the off-screen death of the party-people at the end.
good memories of this game too. in case you didn't know, you're playin on the harder difficulty (i think it's difficulty B? i cant remember what they call it). that's why your paddle is so small even in the beginning. if you switch the difficulty, the paddle will be 50% wider for gameplay.
i loved progressive breakout too. esp when the levels kept going down on every shot. and there was some low brick when you hit it you get a mad bonus!
lol what happend to your fans at the end ha ha someone pumped thier asses full of lead lol
I grew up on a game called Arkanoid and it's like this but with powerups like a bigger paddle, multiple balls and(my favorite) the power to shoot other tiles/blocks (whatever thos things are XD)
YaY awesome classic video game parties!D
